Data controller
This policy describes how CutNight (“we”) handles information when you use https://cutnight.com, a homemade user-generated video site operated from the United States. There is no separate operator company line on this page.
What data we collect
You can browse without an account. If you register or upload, we store the email and password hash you submit, verification status, and content you publish (title, description, tags, the video file and stills).
Our servers may log technical request data such as IP address, date and time, user agent, and the path requested. The age-gate cookie and, if you sign in, a session cookie are set in your browser. Google Analytics may also set measurement cookies as described under Cookies.
Interactive tools on the site run in your browser. We do not keep a separate copy of in-browser-only state beyond what you save as an account or an upload. Type is loaded through Next.js font tooling (Inter); that may involve Google’s font service at build time. The live site serves the font files from our host.
We do not run a newsletter or a checkout on this site. We do not ask for government ID as a routine browse step.
How we use data
We use the information above to:
- host, secure, and operate the site and uploads;
- create and maintain member accounts;
- handle legal, safety, and abuse reports, including age and copyright notices;
- respond to voluntary enquiries sent through on-site forms;
- keep basic server logs for reliability and abuse control;
- measure visits and usage with Google Analytics (page views and related technical signals — not ads conversion tags).
Who receives data
Hosting runs on a Hostwinds virtual server. Media files and related assets are delivered through Bunny CDN. Google Analytics receives measurement data (for example page path, approximate location, device and browser, and cookie identifiers) so we can see how the site is used. Type is loaded through Next.js font tooling (Inter); that may involve Google’s font service at build time, while the live site serves the font files from our host. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information to authorities when the law requires it, or to process a valid legal demand. Processors who help us run the site see only what they need to provide that service.
International transfers
CutNight is based in the United States. If you visit from the EEA, UK, or elsewhere, your information may be processed outside those regions, including in the United States. Where a transfer tool is required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism used by the relevant processor.
Retention
Server logs are typically kept for about 12 months unless a longer period is needed for security or a legal hold. Account records last while the account is open and for a short period after closure. Uploaded videos remain until the uploader or we remove them. Cookies follow the lifetimes described below (Google Analytics cookies typically last up to about 24 months unless you delete them sooner). Browser-only tools are not stored by us as a separate archive.
Your rights (EEA / UK)
If data-protection law in the EEA or UK applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability, subject to legal limits. This page does not publish an email address. Use the notice form on /dmca or the statement on /2257 for rights or abuse requests. Sign-in and upload are not a privacy contact channel.
Your choices
You may browse without creating an account. You can disable JavaScript or block cookies in your browser; the site may then offer a reduced experience. You can close an account you created by stating that request through the on-site notice form and naming the email on the account.
